Board of Directors
We are proud to present our board of directors, a team of committed professionals who desire to see Jesus on display in the lives of our men. These men and women all have ties to addiction in one-way, shape or form, they have walked the journey to recovery or have walked the journey with a loved one. By walking the personal path of recovery, one knows, deeply, the challenges faced in recovery. Below are the stories of these men and women.
A special level of thanks goes to the past members of our board of directors: Kevin Kimbrough, Alex MacKinnon, Guy Glass, JC Caretta, Chris Lohden, and Lindsay Carr. These men and women have given their time, talent, and energy to help make Timothy Initiative what it is today. They have displayed a heart for Jesus, a love for recovery, and a belief in what we do through their service. Their commitment on the board helped create TI’s ten-year legacy and will help create our future as we serve men in need and grow the program. We are deeply grateful.
Pastor George Wood

"Hello, my name is Edwin. I am a Christian, husband, father and entrepreneur... in that order. I joined the Timothy Initiative because I believe in what our Lord has begun, continues to do, and has planned for George and his ministry of reconciliation and restoration. Restoring broken men as pillars in their family, community, and the city is what will curb the epidemic of fatherless homes, violence, addiction, and suicides that plague our culture. The Timothy Initiative provides a community of encouragement, accountability, and well-being all focused and pointing towards Jesus. I am honored to be a part of a ministry that is giving back in such a tangible and meaningful way."
Will was a part of the original team that started the Timothy Initiative alongside George Wood. At the time, he was a USF student with a passion for helping those affected by homelessness. He has since graduated with degrees in Economics and Finance and he is now on his third start-up venture. He is now the VP of Content at Threshold 360, a tech startup based in Tampa. He lives in the neighborhood and loves connecting with our men when he's not chasing around his son, Liam.

Guy has 2 incredible sons and an awesome daughter. A favorite scripture is Romans 12:1-2. Renewing the mind after salvation is immense. A hope Guy has is to mentor TI men to understand a relationship with Jesus Christ means they now carry the very righteousness of Jesus.

Chris reunited with his wife Lisa and son Nicholas in 2013 after finding freedom in Christ. He has found his life purpose in sharing his testimony with others battling life long addiction. Chris joined the board in 2019 to serve the men of the Timothy Initiative.
